yarn and fibre care
|
Chopped Tomatoes' hand-dyed yarn is all done by hand, a small number of skeins at a time, by me. Due to the nature of hand-dyeing, there will be variations in the dye distribution throughout the skein, and this is completely normal. It is an intentional aspect of the dyeing process to produce a semi-solid effect. Please find below some information on how to care for your yarns and fibres; this is to ensure that your creations remain in tip top shape for years to come. |

It is recommended that you hand-wash your knitted pieces made with Chopped Tomatoes yarn using a wool-kind (that means no-no to biological detergents and Woolite) gentle detergent and tepid water.
Remove excess water by gently squeezing the item, then rolling it around in a towel to soak up extra moisture. Do not spin or wring as this will cause the item to felt.
Items should be shaped whilst damp and dried flat. Avoid hanging or tumble drying.
