My local knitting group, Yarn & Yarn, celebrated it's second birthday yesterday; we all had a fantastic time last night, I pitched in a made some chocolate peanut butter muffins....

I've been working on some new patterns this week. I don't usually work with aran or chunky weight yarns but figuring out stitch patterns that worked (and that didn't require the use of cable needles!) was really exciting! Here is a sneak preview of something I designed using Bingo, a lovely 100% merino by Lana Grossa:

I can't seem to find a regular Lana Grossa stockist in the UK, the original website that stocked them is down... and now the only place I can get them is in the sale/bargain section of online yarn stores.. any information would be appreciated!

I also picked up a few balls of Sirdar CLICK at my local HobbyCraft store last weekend and played around with a slipped stitch pattern:

What are these mystery WIP's? I guess you'll have to wait and see! I'm off to cast something else on. Do you ever lie in bed, right before you go to sleep, and suddenly have a great idea that you can't wait to get up in the morning to implement? That has definately been the case with me for a while now.. I'm taking advantage of this unexpected creative outburst before I get bored of knitting again!

Have a fab day everybody!
