I came across the Knit One, Save One campaign in one of the knitting magazines and whipped up 10 little hats to contribute towards the Save the Children 50,000 knitters target!
I know I announced a booties challenge, but I felt that this is a project more deserving of my time at this point! The Save the Children website has lots of information about the campaign, and the downloadable 'knit kit' includes a very simple hat pattern that can be knitted up in no time!
You might have also noticed that the blog has a whole new look! I spent the past few weeks designing, recategorising, and generally making it much easier to navigate... I'm still sorting out the store, where I will be offering patterns, supplies, and lots of other crafty bits and pieces!

Come on then... whip out your spare yarns and help keep thousands of newborns alive!

Hi Machelle,
It’s wonderful to see that more and more people like yourself are looking for ways to incorporate their hobbies with a way to help the less fortunate.
I would also like to congratulate you on your fantastic blog, I love the design, the way all your posts are categorised, and your photos are very professional.
Do you take all the photos yourself or do you use the company that designed your blog?
Thank you Lisa for your wonderful comments! I take all the photographs myself (nothing too professional... just a tabletop studio!)
