The past few weeks have been a bit mad on both the life and 'craft' ends, and with all the craziness I haven't had the inspiration to blog about anything. I was happy to see that my handbound journals have made a good impression on the people at The Knitter...

The great review really lifted my spirits and I'm hoping that this little mention would boost my Etsy sales a little! I'm in the market for a new camera (this one's just about ready to die), so it would really help!

My weekend was quite chilled out, I went to my friend Alison's house and picked up my HOT PINK niddy noddy...

Small but oh-so-handy! It makes 1 yard skeins which is perfect for me since I will be using it to hold 'frogged' yarn and my handspun samples. The niddy noddy is handmade by Alison's father, and she custom-stained this particular one for me. You can see her selection of niddy noddys in her Etsy shop Karmic Delight. I highly recommend getting one of these, I don't know how I managed without one for so long to be honest!

Did I mention that Alison's father also makes swifts? A master woodworker with incredible attention to detail; I requested a custom swift to be made for me in natural wood (I have the intention of staining it at some point), and I received an absolute gem. I present to you, CLOVER...

Pretty awesome huh? It's got raised feet with little sucky circles that grip on any smooth surface so the swift doesn't move around. I love it.

You can get your own swift from the Etsy shop Future Antiques; every swift is one-of-a-kind and is made with lots and lots of love!

I'm off to clear up my craft clutter so I can sit down and do some sewing tonight...

What a cute niddy noddy! I just got a bigger one and my skeins are big now! Well done on The Knitter mention. I will be allowed to open mine soon so I will blog it and hope you get more sales. x
