Due to an ill-timed trip abroad last year, I missed World Wide Knit In Public Day; so this year I was a little more organised. 

The fantastic Lynne from Cardiff Crafty Crew has organised for us Cardiff folk to get together in Bute Park this Saturday 11th June, to enjoy our craft of choice (you can bring along your knitting, spinning, crocheting, sewing.. etc) in what I'm hoping to be a sunny park.

location : the Summerhouse, Bute Park

time : 12 noon to about 6pm

directions : opposite the millennium bridge, crossing the Taff, between the top of the herbaceous border and Sophia Gardens (if you enter through the gate closest to Westgate Street, turn left and head straight on, you should find us on the right next to the summerhouse kiosk)

The cafe serves tea/coffee and cold drinks, together with light meals, so don't worry about packing too much 'stuff'. I'd also like to add that there are bathrooms about 5 minutes walk away.

Everybody is welcome to join in, I will be bringing along my Buca, some home-made muffins, and maybe some knitting. As you can see, he's pretty excited about the whole thing... 

I must go away and dig out a blanket of some sort for sitting on the grass; although the Summerhouse has a seating area, I can't guarantee a seat. Better for me on the grass anyways, I like sitting on the floor.
