greemy baby booties

Why Greemy? A few years ago, my sisters and I decided to 'invent' a new colour, and in my head, it was a mixture of green and brown, which ultimately always gave a mucky result with my coloured pencils! We called that colour Greem.
I haven't found a yarn with a 'Greemy' colour, but I compromised and used a lovely 100% wool yarn (for the top part of the booties), and soft dark cotton yarn (on the sole of the booties) instead!
I reduced the 'seam-sewing' on these booties by transferring my work onto double pointed needles after making the sole, this way I was able to work in the round and avoid sewing the leg seam...
