Wonderwool 2010 was a FABULOUS success for myself and fellow stallholder GypsyDancer. Although a little tiring, the weekend was great fun and I got to meet lots of people. I should really say, re-meet; you see, I recognised a large number of names on Ravelry badges, people that I have met online and had nice little friendships with. It was nice to finally meet them in person and put a face to the Ravatar.
Once again, my camera was charged, my memory card was cleared, and I didn't have the chance to take many photos. Typical. I did manage, however, to take this shot of Tora setting up the stand.
She was an absolute angel the whole time we were setting up. I was constantly re-arranging things around the stall, complaining that there wasn't enough room, worrying that it didn't look as pretty as I wanted... She took me aside and told me to just STOP, and let it be! I finally decided on a layout a mere one hour before the show opened up to the public. I know now that I will need to be a lot more organised when doing other shows; getting the cards/banner printed in advance, having a little more height to the display etc. To be honest, I didn't realise how high the stall walls were, I think that was what threw me and I was unhappy with the 'white-ness' that surrounded me. At the end though, the stall must have been alright, I sold out on lots of colourways and that made me really happy! Thank you CT fans!
My inherited vintage mannequin, Greta, made her debut at the show. She displayed my Aeolian in Classic Cashmere beautifully and many admirers commented on how lovely she was (and the knitting of course).
Builth Wells is a very nice town, but a little too quiet for my liking. I did, however, LOVE the Bed and Breakfast that we stayed at. It was located around a 10 minute drive away from the showgrounds, at Trecoed Farm. The gorgeous views ( no photographs unfortunately ), clean fresh air, and rustic cottage took my breath away.
Unlike last year at Wonderwool, I didn't get a chance to shop. I was busy manning the stall and had already decided that I wasn't going to make any yarn purchases. I put away some money to spend at my favorite stall... Manda Crafts!
I walked over the Amanda's stall on the first day of the show, and took note of what I was going to come back for. On Sunday morning I made my first purchase, an armful of fibre. Then a few hours later I went back for another armful... I love Amanda's fluff!
I hope everyone who went to the festival had as great a time as I did!

It sounds wonderful and your yarns all look beautiful. I wish I could have come!
Your yarns were fantastic and I just wish I could have bought more. Wonderwool was again fantastic and it was good to see you there and meet you, hope you'll be back next year!
Wow your stall looks brilliant! An amazing array of colours. So sorry I could come & pay you a visit. Glad it went so well.
