I am a free-spirited 'Mish' who enjoys the simpler things in life; Chopped Tomatoes is designed and maintained by myself. I've always loved to make things with my hands, and I have been interested in food since I visited a local flour mill on my kindergarten field trip! 

My mother taught me how to crochet at 7 years old, I made a pink pencil-case. It was crooked, full of holes, and yet I showed it off proudly when I took it to school. I was mocked, my pencils kept falling out…then I lost it (I have a sneaking suspicion that my mother threw it out but she won’t admit to anything).

I love to share ideas, food inspirations, and needlecraft techniques, and Chopped Tomatoes serves as my personal blog where I post my recipes, patterns, and finally, my conversion to eco-friendly living!

My pursuit of 'green living' began when I realised that I was losing my ongoing battle with sensitive skin and commerical bath, body and cleaning products. Finding it increasingly difficult to source hypoallergenic products, I decided to produce my own line of natural soaps...Miche Wishi After this somewhat 'selfish' start, I began to research and experiment with various techniques to reduce my carbon footprint and give something back to this wonderful Earth that God has given us!

Why Chopped Tomatoes?

My friends and family often contact me for recipes and dinner menu ideas; one day, my sister said, "Everything you cook has chopped tomatoes in it! You should call yourself Chopped Tomatoes".. A lightbulb lit then... So I named my blog Chopped Tomatoes.
